P1A focuses on investing in privately owned, US-headquartered, small and middle-market businesses, typically with revenue somewhere between $5 million and $65 million.
We work directly with senior management, meaning we execute together. Some of our partners are interested in scaling back their responsibility. Others are eventually interested in making a full exit.

What they all have in common, though, is a readiness—and willingness—to bring their businesses to the next level.

The first thing we’ll do is collaborate. We’ll have a conversation about your goals, your desires, and any roadblocks that might be standing in their way. Together, we’ll develop a robust value creation plan that reflects our deep industry expertise.

Since there’s no shadowy committee of anonymous investment board members to deal with, we keep conversations transparent and streamlined. And we make our decisions swiftly. We’ll next craft a letter of intent…and in most cases, we close within 30 to 60 days.

At the end of the day, we just believe that simpler is better.
